What the assessment includes
Our Full Diagnostic Hearing Assessment provides a comprehensive picture of how well you hear and how your ears are functioning. During your 45–60 minute appointment, we assess your hearing history and carry out otoscopy, pure-tone audiometry using air and bone conduction, speech audiometry (or speech detection testing where appropriate), tympanometry, and acoustic reflex testing when clinically indicated. Depending on your concerns, we may also include Eustachian tube function testing, tinnitus assessment, or ACT and QuickSIN testing to understand how you hear speech in background noise. Kevin will explain your results clearly and provide personalised advice on the most appropriate next steps, whether that is reassurance, monitoring, medical referral, hearing rehabilitation, or hearing-aid options.
